PMU Removal: Live & Unedited
Programme
PMU Removal: Live & Unedited
Sunday 18 April 2027
Village Hotel Cheadle, Manchester
PMU Removal: Live & Unedited isn’t built around a long list of presentations and demos.
It’s built around bringing different parts of PMU removal into the same room — PMU artists, removal practitioners, trainers, laser businesses and technology companies — and giving them something worth talking about.
The morning opens up the questions sitting inside PMU correction and removal.
The afternoon brings the laser training and technology side of the industry directly into the room.
Who’ll be in the room?
Hosted by Lisa Henning, founder of Botched Ink®, alongside Botched Ink trainers:
Kelly Fellows · Claire Stokes · Katie Davies · Tricia Cumisky
All four work across Botched Ink saline removal and laser, bringing real experience of combination removal and knowing when different approaches may work better alone or together.
They’ll be joined by experienced removal practitioners and selected laser training, machine and technology Industry Partners, with further names announced as they’re confirmed.
This is where the event gets interesting: people who normally work in different parts of PMU removal, actually talking to each other.
PMU removal belongs inside PMU thinking
We’ve always believed that PMU removal is best understood by people who understand PMU.
Pigment choice · Colour shifts · Saturation · Previous corrections · Skin · Technique · What was originally implanted · What the client may want next
Removal doesn’t sit separately from any of that.
That’s why this event brings removal back into the wider PMU conversation — with artists, practitioners, trainers, laser specialists and technology businesses contributing from different sides of the industry.
Because better removal decisions start with understanding the PMU that created the problem in the first place.
Morning: the conversations we’re bringing into the room
The morning focuses on the questions, decisions and disagreements PMU professionals are already dealing with.
“This is your last top-up”
You know the client. She’s been coming to you for years, she trusts you, and she’s expecting another refresh.
But is more pigment still the right answer?
When do loyalty, habit and repeat business start colliding with what’s actually best for the skin — and how do you handle that conversation?
Correction or removal — where is the thinking now?
Colour correction · Neutralising · Adding warmth · Removing first
Where does correction still have a place, when does removal make more sense, and how are experienced artists making that call now?
Advanced removal: where are the boundaries?
Lip tissue · Eyeliner · Cheek blush · Scars · Camouflage · Compromised skin
Clients are asking for more and practitioners are pushing further.
Where do experience, judgement and tissue knowledge start to matter more than simply knowing a technique?
Laser, saline — or something in between?
Clients want the quickest, safest route, but real PMU removal rarely fits neatly into one camp.
Where does each method earn its place? When might they work together? And what actually changes the decision?
Are we actually moving forward?
PMU artists are learning in more places, from more voices and in more fragmented ways than ever before.
At the same time, old ideas can be renamed, reshared and taught again as something new.
How do we keep the experience the industry has already earned moving forward?
Afternoon: the removal industry — live and in the room
The afternoon changes gear with two chaired, Question Time-style discussions.
No slide decks. No pre-written speeches.
The businesses behind the technology, the people teaching it and the practitioners seeing the results in real clients will be answering the same questions in the same room.
Partners will know the broad themes, but not the exact questions in advance.
There is no expectation that everybody agrees.
That is what makes the conversation worth hearing.
Technology & Machines
Laser technology and machine businesses + experienced PMU removal practitioners
The discussion will explore pigments, colour shifts, machine capabilities, different technologies and treatment realities.
What genuinely differentiates one system from another?
What should PMU professionals understand when choosing, using or referring clients towards laser?
And where does what sounds good in theory meet the reality of previously tattooed, corrected or heavily saturated PMU?
Training & Practice
Laser trainers + working practitioners + Botched Ink® trainers and users
This panel moves beyond the machine and into how removal is actually taught, judged and practised.
The discussion will explore training standards, treatment decisions, client management, boundaries, combination approaches and real-world experience.
When should you treat? When should you refer? When might different methods work together?
And where does training end and professional judgement begin?
Ask the questions yourself
What have you always wanted to ask the laser side of the industry?
You’ll be invited to submit questions before the event, with further questions gathered during the day.
That means the discussion won’t only be shaped by what we want to talk about.
It will also be shaped by what the people in the room actually want answered.

Step into the conversation
Most of us spend our working lives making decisions inside our own treatment rooms, shaped by our own training, clients and experience.
But what happens when we step outside that for a day?
What do other artists notice that you don’t?
Where do experience and opinions divide?
What happens when somebody challenges something the industry has simply accepted for years?
The people at the front of the room are only part of PMU Removal: Live & Unedited.
The room itself will be full of artists, trainers, removal practitioners and industry businesses bringing their own experience and ways of reaching a decision.
That collective experience is part of what makes the day valuable.
You may hear something that challenges a habit, find words for something you’ve instinctively known for years, completely disagree with someone — or have one conversation over lunch that stays with you longer than anything said from the front of the room.
Bringing the industry together to think, question and move forward.
