Faithful to Education & High Standards
As microblading and permanent makeup removal gains popularity, the industry has become increasingly unmanaged. Is it just me, or do you feel like removal (and lip blush) has become the new microblading ...
Some professional-grade non-laser removal products are easily accessible to anyone, leading to significant variations in training standards and client treatments. This is disappointing, especially when removal is meant to be a correction procedure
At Botched Ink, we take a more structured and responsible approach. We provide an industry leading comprehensive training, and limit access to our exclusive salt saline tattoo removal solution
Our saline removal training courses are designed to equip professionals with the skills needed for safe and effective cosmetic tattoo removal, and permanent makeup color correction. We ensure that every Botched Ink technician feels confident in their ability removing unwanted pigment, offering support, before during and after training with us
PMU Removal Solution: Important Information
Botched Ink® is our exclusive saline solution for permanent makeup removal. If you ever hear using a saline solution for cosmetic tattoos is harsh or painful, check which brand of salt saline tattoo removal solution that was used - It’s unlikely to be Botched Ink!
We firmly believe that Botched Ink® is the best saline solution for salt saline tattoo removal work anywhere. Read how we compare with Li-FT (one of our most asked questions!). Definitely not your average salt saline removal solution, nor a generic saline removal training!
Generic salt and saline tattoo removal training won’t teach you the Botched Ink® difference, just look at the ingredients in our salt saline solution! The gentle way Botched Ink removes tattoo pigment is not similar to any other removal product, salt and saline or not! You can also read What is Saline Tattoo Removal?
Botched Ink PMU removal solution has a different effect on the skin, drying it out within an hour, with minimal if any inflammation or irritation to the treated area. We also protect the investment of our students, there’s 100s of Official Botched Ink Techs around the World
a more gentle removal session than you might expect!
Further information can be found in the ingredients tab. No need for vitamin e oil or orange seed extract, and of course Botched Ink saline tattoo removal solution is non acid with an all natural pH of 5.5. Eyebrow hair and hair follicles are not damaged, indeed eyebrows might improve!
Gentle during removal treatments
Even though this is a salt and saline removal procedure, it is not the literal effect of “rubbing salt in the wound”. Our Botched Ink saline tattoo removal solution has been designed for a gentle implant method, with no risk of permanent scarring, and is suitable for all skin types and colours
Numbing cream is used, and aftercare instructions are provided for our saline removal solution. The ingredients in Botched Ink salt saline tattoo removal have been formulated to result in a product that only gives a mild sting which disappears very quickly, there is no lingering burn or sting
Botched Ink Saline solution penetrates deeper than your needle
The ingredients in Botched Ink result in the saline solution being drawn into the skin and this happens more easily than you would think. Thanks to our specially formulated solutions, technicians don’t have to work the skin hard – there is no need to over work the skin to achieve the desired results of lightening or removal
Very high concentration of Aloe Vera
The high concentration of aloe vera is used for its healing properties, aiding the osmosis process of saline removal and the healing. This aids in the quick healing of the area treated using Botched Ink saline tattoo removal and can sometimes help the tattoo look better during healing!
Makes the treated skin bleed
This one sounds a little scary but it’s true the ingredients in Botched Ink saline removal make the skin bleed. This allows us to let the blood do the work, adding to the osmotic process and flushing up tattoo ink from the deeper layers of skin
The bleeding helps to lift the pigment to the surface of the skin which will then form a scab and fall off meaning that pigment has been removed
ACTS AS A VASCULAR CONSTRICTOR TO STOP BLEEDING
The ingredients in Botched Ink have been chosen as they help to stem the flow of blood from us making the skin bleed. This quick stemming of the blood helps to stop the treated area from getting too messy and causing contamination. It also means that the treatment area dries quickly to assist in the healing
DRIES THE TREATED SKIN WITHIN AN HOUR
Due to Botched Ink being a vascular constrictor and drying out the skin quickly it means the bodies natural healing response doesn’t have chance to kick in. This means we prevent scarring as there's a thin scab, minimal inflammation, minimal irritation and minimal risk of infection,
Treated skin heals easily, and within a few days the scab falls off. Even the most sensitive skin can be treated with the Botched Ink removal technique
HAS A SKIN FRIENDLY PH OF AROUND 5.5
We’ve told you Botched Ink is gentle during treatment and this is because the pH of Botched Ink closely resembles the pH of healthy skin (between 4.5 and 5.75) which is slightly acidic and this results in only a mild sting during the treatment

⭐ Star ingredients: Along with our special packaging, these ingredients make Botched Ink saline solution exclusive, and special!
Purified Water (aqua)
Purified water has been purified to completely remove any harmful chemicals or contaminants, making Botched Ink® suitable and safe to use
Dead Sea Salt (sodium chloride) ⭐
Sodium Chloride (salt) is used in salt saline tattoo removal for its ability to dry out the skin. Salt draws water out of cells via the process of osmosis. Essentially, water moves across a cell membrane to try to equalize the salinity or concentration of salt on both sides of the membrane. If we add enough salt, too much water will be removed from a cell for it to remain alive, it will have dried out.
Botched Ink ® is the only salt saline tattoo removal solution to use Dead Sea Salt. It’s not a very salty salt, so less harsh on the sensitive skin too. Chosen for its high mineral content, which benefits the skin during the healing process
The Dead Sea is the most saline body of water in the world with far greater concentrations of minerals than any ocean, a concentration of 33% minerals compared to only 3% other seas.
Dead Sea Salt uniquely contains:
-
Bromide - heals and relieves disorders, and has relaxing effect as an anti-inflammatory agent, can be used as a natural antibiotic.
-
Magnesium - accelerates metabolism of cells, works as an anti-allergic agent
-
Calcium - soothes and relieves skin cells, is necessary in strengthening cell membranes and cleansing pores
-
Potassium - Improves oxidation, necessary to maintain water balance for cell metabolism to take place, assists cells to absorb nourishment and expel waste products
-
Sodium Chloride - Nourishes and hydrates skin cells and removes toxic waste, improving its permeability
-
Zinc - facilitates cell renewal and stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis (renews skin). A great antioxidant this mineral is a free radical scavenger. Anti-inflammatory properties
Glycerin (glycerin)
Glycerin is a naturally occurring alcohol compound of animal or vegetable origin. Glycerin is often used in beauty products because it's easily absorbed into the skin, this means the active ingredients in Botched Ink® can penetrate deeply with ease. Botched Ink® uses pure vegetable oil derived glycerin, sourced from Rapeseed Oil
Aloe Vera Powder 200:1 (aloe barbadensis leaf juice powder) ⭐
Aloe Vera is well-known for its trans-dermal properties, reaching deeper body tissues, making the active ingredients in Botched Ink® easily absorbed. The combination of more than 200 active ingredients makes Aloe Vera unique, with anti-itching, cooling, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-oxidant and moisturizing properties. Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder is obtained from the dried leaf juice. A 0.1% concentration of Aloe Vera powder 200: 1 equates to about 20% Aloe Vera 1:1 gel. Botched Ink® uses Aloe Vera for its easy deep soaking and healing properties
Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Chlorphenesin (branded as Mikrokill COS)
Mikrokill COS is a broad-spectrum preservative system which is well accepted in a wide range of skin care products. Approved in Europe and America with a well-documented safety profile. Non-paraben, low odour, pH stable and active on bacteria, yeast and moulds. Botched Ink® uses Mikrokill COS as our preservative system
Corn Starch (Zea Mays) ⭐
A starch obtained from corn. Corn starch is great natural remedy to stop bleeding since it aids and speeds up the clotting process. Corn Starch has drying properties which makes it great for this. Corn Starch is also used as a thickening agent in skincare products and is oil absorbing. Corn starch is also naturally gluten free. Botched Ink® uses Corn Starch to stop the bleeding after treatment and absorb any fluids
Aluminium Sulphate (Aluminium Sulphate) ⭐
Aluminium Sulphate is an inorganic compound which has many uses. For cosmetic and personal care products Aluminium Sulphate is used as a deodorant, an astringent used to contract or shrink tissue and dry up secretions, or as a styptic for superficial wounds. A styptic is a substance capable of stopping bleeding when applied to a still open wound. Aluminium Sulphate causes vascular constriction, allowing the formation of a blood clot after minor bleeding. Botched Ink® uses Aluminium Sulphate to stop the bleeding after treatment
Xanthan Gum (Xanthan Gum)
Xanthan gum is a polysaccharide (starch) which has many uses, including as a common food additive. It is an effective thickening agent and stabilizer to prevent ingredients from separating. It can be produced from simple sugars using a fermentation process. Botched Ink® uses Xanthan Gum to thicken and prevent the ingredients from separating
Sodium Hydroxide (Sodium Hydroxide)
Sodium Hydroxide is a highly alkaline and reactive ingredient, often used as a pH Adjuster to neutralise ingredients. The most common use for Sodium Hydroxide in personal care products is its use in the production of handmade soap. Botched Ink® uses Sodium Hydroxide to adjust the pH making the solution kinder to the skin

Saline tattoo removal in sachets, not a bottle
Maximum Potency Each Treatment. Our packaging plays a vital role for best tattoo pigment removal results
-
Botched Ink is the only salt saline tattoo removal product on the market that comes in single use sachets
-
No worries about open bottles losing potency, Botched Ink is fresh and potent each session.
-
We use single use sachets for ultimate hygiene – no contamination between clients and no drying out of the saline solution
-
We use single use sachets because it is cost effective. One sachet completes a set of brows, we couldn’t make the price any better
Botched Ink® salt saline tattoo removal solution is supplied in a pack of 10 x 2ml single use sachets. We believe this is a first for the non-laser tattoo removal industry, and certainly for salt saline removal
PMU removal solutions are normally supplied in a bottle. This has a limited lifespan after opening, often just 3-6 months. If saline solutions contain fresh ingredients like Aloe Vera, the solution becomes less effective as the Aloe Vera degrades. Not ideal when Aloe Vera is used to help the saline solution implant easily, not just for healing
No one likes to throw away an unfinished bottle, however using bottles of old product will reduce the results achieved. Not great if you're doing a complete removal or an emergency removal, and clients like to see some removal after just one session
Botched Ink® saline tattoo removal does not require refrigeration, and each sachet is marked with the best before date, which is 2 years after manufacture

Non-Laser Tattoo Removal for Laser Techs: For techs not certified in PMU with a tattoo machine
The non-laser tattoo removal treatment involves inserting the saline solution into the cosmetic tattoo, using a tattoo machine or hand tool, to puncture the top layer of the skin. This allows Botched Ink into the top layers, and to soak into the deeper layers of pigment. There is minimal lymph fluid drainage with Botched Ink, allowing the skin to quickly dry out. The dried out skin scab falls away in a few days. There’s no need for additional scar prevention, like vitamin E oil, as there’s no red or inflamed skin in the unwanted tattoo
Botched Ink is designed to remove cosmetic tattoos and is infused into the skin using a tattoo machine or hand tool. Our 'one pass' method is simple, and gentle for the client's skin, during and after treatments
When needling in Botched Ink use a 5 round liner needle, held at 90 degrees. For best needling use a short, tight, 3-point stretch. Needle open the skin in 1 cm sections and start to soak. Regularly blot and reapply during the soak, using a dry cotton pad to blot any blood. Fully needle each 1 cm area before moving on, and start soaking on each freshly needled 1 cm section. The first soak can be squished in with a cotton bud for extra effect
Botched Ink starts and stops bleeding and secretions. Re-apply soak 5 or more times for each brow, using the same cotton bud. Clients should feel stinging towards the end of soaking. Botched Ink will have soaked into the dermis by this point. Use your hand to fan the area to help ease the stinging. Stop soaking sections when all secretions cease

Whether you need an emergency saline tattoo removal session, correct a permanent makeup procedure or maintain beautiful brows, Botched Ink’s saline removal solution is all round the dependable option, for techs and their clients
We have a page dedicated to the healing process after a removal procedure - Botched Ink Aftercare
Due to the gentle method we use, and our advanced saline removal solution, clients don't get a typical wound healing scab, or skin wetness often associated with saline removal treatments
A Botched Ink scab, is a dried out skin scab. Clients often 'complain' that they don't have scabs, thinking the procedure might not be working. But if they felt the mild sting during the treatment, their skin will have been full of Botched Ink, and when any of that skin contains pigment, that will dry out and naturally remove during the healing process
Love the product and the companies passion for the treatment
I loved the idea of aftercare mini sheets! So useful
